Just what everybody needs for their post-Bank Holiday return to work – one of the trippiest, greatest and most intriguing videos to appear in 2017 courtesy of one of our favs.
We don’t shy away from the fact we are pretty huge fans of LA-based producer/artist/all-round-genius Elohim, the one-woman electronic project shrouded in anonymity and creator of some of our favourite pop gems from the past couple of years.
Latest single Skinny Legs is already nothing short of huge, dropping back in April to an array of applause for it’s clattering beats and bizarre synth-pop brilliance. Now, we’re treated to the track’s accompanying video packed with neon lights, hallucinogenic visuals and raucous choreo.
Directed by Megan Park, the video follows the equally trippy/wonderfully clip for 2016’s Hallucinating and January’s full-on choreography filled Love Is Alive collaboration with Chicago duo Louis The Child. Check out ELOHIM’s debut self-titled EP from last year whilst you’re at it for some of our favourite tracks from the past 12 months.
Whilst there is no current news of any UK shows, Elohim can be found at Lollapalooza, Firefly and Lightning In A Bottle across this summer’s festival season following on from well-applauded sets at Coachella and Middlelands.
Skinny Legs is out now. Take a look at the official video below:
