Fresh from taking Paris Fashion Week by storm with an attention-grabbing collaboration with Louis Vuitton, Supreme have unveiled their SS17 own-label offering.
There’s definitely a ‘more is more’ vibe about the brand’s latest collection, with more patches and pattern clashes than we have come to expect from them. I’m sure Supreme’s designers hate this comparison, but the zebra bomber is reminiscent of Kenzo’s recent collaboration with H&M. Perhaps this will be the next Parisian design house that the brand will collaborate with?
As with many of the recent collections, politics is referenced in the SS17 drop. Instead of using the collection to criticise Trump, the brand have primarily chosen to celebrate Obama. Although there is a cherub-featuring ‘Fuck the president’ T-shirt and badge set, presumably for his successor, so perhaps that’s not entirely accurate.
The Spring/Summer 17 collection will be available in store on Thursday 16 February in London, Paris, New York and LA, and in Japan on Saturday 18 February, with the online store opening on Thursday 23 February.
