Premiere: Zoofan Are Here To Wash Away Any Pre-Winter Blues With ‘Sunbeam’

Everyone gets the “school is where you meet your friends for life” talk at some point in their childhood. More often than not, this doesn’t really work out…

For Hamish Wallace and Max Walker, we’ll consider it a success story. Paired together as a result of classroom surname-seating arrangements, the two would form a friendship that would lead to an unintentional decade-long no-speak period. By chance, a meeting in a Brixton bar would reconnect the buddies and unearth their similar music taste (Phoenix, Arcade Fire, Alt J and Depeche Mode to name but a fine few) eventually leading to the creation of music project Zoofan. The rest is history as they say…

In their short time as a duo, Zoofan have already been taken under the wing of the fashion world with their debut live show taking the form of an official Paris Fashion Week afterparty. Establishing themselves as the alternate ones-to-watch across London fashion circuits and with their own live slots in the process, the rise of Zoofan is, and shall continue to be, undeniable.

We are thrilled to premiere their debut single Sunbeam, the Foals/Chad Valley-esque synth-ridden gem here to blow away any pre-winter blues in a vale of shimmering, indie-pop. Take a listen below:
