Hannah Grace is the name on everybody’s lips. From her YouTube covers sparking viral responses from the likes of Lady Gaga to finding herself as the voice of ads broadcasted out to the entire nation, she’s out here ticking every box possible. With vocals that stellar, it is quite the relief to be able to put a face to the name with no doubt at all that she’s on a mission to cause a storm in the music scene.
Grace kickstarted 2017 with the release of Praise You, an ode to the Fatboy Slim classic with her own added twist and landed herself a prime-time slot on national television as the soundtrack to Lloyd’s TV’s latest ad in the process.
Clinging onto the overwhelming reception of Praise You, HISKIND is delighted to premiere the latest rendition with a celestial version of the track sang by the lady herself and filmed live in London’s own award winning Union Chapel.
Unlike any other mere stripped back release, Grace takes it to church (quite literally) with nothing but herself, a piano and stained glassed windows in sight. Echoes surround the building add a haunting ambience to the track; a small detail that turns the cover into a solid 11/10. We’ll place bets at this resulting in many tears being shed alongside a stride of iPhone torches being waved in the air… What else could you ask for?
Having already tackled the mighty Glastonbury, alongside support slots for the likes of Hozier, Gabrielle Aplin and Lissie, the future is indeed looking bright for Hannah Grace. There’s no doubt she’s onto bigger and greater things and, with the astoundingly good material put out so far, the only possible direction for her is upwards.
Praise You is out now.
