After what seems an eternity (and then some), London Grammar have finally revealed details of their live comeback in the UK with the announcement of three new shows. They’re a lot sooner than you’d think…
Announced via a rather quaint handwritten note, the dream pop trio have plotted shows in Glasgow, Birmingham and London amid the anticipation of their as-yet-untitled follow up record to 2013’s If You Wait. Given their debut went double platinum on UK turf, we can imagine a hefty amount of anticipation regarding their live comeback. Check out the announcement below.
Even better, the mini tour kicks off in exactly two weeks time making the wait to catch the trio at their best not too painful at all. The slot at Hackney Round Chapel will mark the trio’s first London headline show since their run at Brixton Academy in 2014, following shows at Birmingham’s Town Hall and Glasgow’s Oran Mor a few days prior.
Best get preparing – these rather tiny shows go on sale Friday with prior registration via the band’s official site required.
London Grammar teased their return with the ominous Rooting For You back at the very start of the year, new single Big Picture following close after in February. For those who haven’t already, the wonderfully cinematic video clip for the track is below and well worth a watch.
