With entertainment provided by Glitterbox, drinks flowing courtesy of Grey Goose and Bombay Sapphire and enough voguing to bring the house down, HISKIND took to Shoreditch House last night (02/03) for the launch of our first issue.
Celebs, industry heads, musicians and magazine lovers alike came together in celebration of our first print issue, hitting streets this Monday. With a live DJ set from pop polymath MNEK and guests including the 1975, Aquilo, Låpsley, Will Joseph Cook, Sink the Pink and Sinitta, East End’s go-to venue – Shoreditch House – promised a night of good music, good vibes and everything HISKIND. Decked out on the rooftop terraces, the night overlooked Shoreditch’s skyline as photo booths clicked, artist Jake Kuit live painted the front cover, drinks poured and dancing shoes were worn.

Issue one hits the streets 6th March, with the magazine delving into LGBT+ identity in 2017, whilst bridging the gap between gay and straight media. From interviews with active members of the KKK to exploring how the music industry is tackling mental health, profiles on New York’s trendiest club kids to socio-political analysis into the desire to own bleak fashion brands, issue one is bursting in content you can’t help but love.

The magazine will be available for free on a premium newspaper format across 700 UK culture venues, 400 corporate offices, across major airport lounges and gates and available on Virgin Train’s BEAM service. From your favourite coffee shop to that hotel you’ve always wanted to stay in, the record stores with the hottest releases and the cafes that know how to brunch, HISKIND will be yours to take, keep and be part of. Details and stockists to follow in the coming days…
