With Guy Williams on the decks and live performances from Oscar King and Charles, #ChappyBrunch kickstarted Brighton Pride celebrations with singing and dancing (the free flowing Elderflower champagne might have had a tiny bit to do with it…) Raven Mandella and Cain Jennings fulfilled hostess duties with aplomb, entertaining and (quite literally) sparkling for an eager morning crowd. Think voguing, disco music, everyone’s favourite classics, and more death drops than we knew what to do with. Can every weekend start with Chappy Brunch?
Around 300,000 people descended on the seaside city of Brighton for one of the UK’s biggest annual summer Pride celebrations. Years & Years joined Pet Shop Boys, Louisa Johnson, David Morales and KStewart on the main stage and a carnival parade entertained crowds at Hove Lawns. To kickstart celebrations in the most fabulous start possible, HISKIND teamed up with Chappy to throw the ultimate pre-Pride brunch party at the ultra chic Silo Brighton. Chappy invited along dozens of eligible bachelors, and where better than Pride to scope out the talent and test out their app?
Putting the spotlight on emerging creatives, we welcomed a live set from Oscar King and Charles. Hailing from London, Oscar is a 22 year old multi-instrumentalist, reminiscent of both Banks and James Blake. Charles’ commanded the party with his distinctive bass vocals and upbeat live performance of self penned Red, Black, Gold.
Naturally Chappy invited along dozens of eligible bachelors, and where better than Pride to scope out the talent and test out their app?
Guests took the opportunity to peruse HISKIND’s Summer Issue – featuring our amazing UK exclusive cover interview with Bleacher’s front man, fierce ally and Taylor Swift/Lorde/Troye Sivan/Banks/Sia/Grimes super-producer Jack Antonoff.
Lucky brunchers also had the chance to check out HISKIND’s summer issue – featuring our amazing UK exclusive cover interview with Bleacher’s front man, fierce ally and Taylor Swift/Lorde/Troye Sivan/Banks/Sia/Grimes super-producer Jack Antonoff.
We rounded up the (slightly tipsy) exciting morning festivities with rainbow confetti canons (it was pride– how else!) giving all of us time to explore the beautiful city and check out the Brighton Pride action.
