Tracking down the capital’s hidden gems has become a scavenger hunt for Londoners, and there’s nothing that gets us out and into the cold faster than hearing the words ‘limited run’ or ‘pop-up’. If you’re looking to create memories, we’ve compiled a list of this winter’s unmissable pop-ups – from culinary journeys to potential date-night spots.
Skye Halla at Queen of Hoxton
“Nordic Vikings feasting and drinking in the clouds” is probably the best description of Queen of Hoxton’s new thematic installation. Paired with appropriately named Nordic treats, the rooftop will continue hosting immersive workshops until March 2017, so head on down and pass the winter days away with some Thor’s Courage.

Balkano at The Vault Festival
The Vault Festival kicks off on January 25th and with it a spotlight on Eastern European cuisine. Balkano draws its inspiration from the tastes of the wider Balkan Peninsula, while staying true to Greek and Turkish cuisine. An alternative to your ‘posh kebab joint’, Balkano offers a culinary adventure through the East, guided by chef Martin H Shaw until March.

The Plot Twist’s Pasta ‘n’ Goulash
Those who enjoy Balkano can further pursue their Eastern appetite at The Plot Twist’s new pop-up, opening February 8th. A fusion between Italian and Hungarian comfort dishes responds to our wildest midnight cravings, from goulash to pasta. Pasta ‘n’ Goulash is not something we can afford to miss.

York & Albany’s Gingerbread Cabin Pop-up
Let York & Albany’s Gingerbread Cabin transport you to a storybook fairytale in a late echo of Christmas spirit. Keep the cheer alive until the end of February with this thematic setting. If you’re around Camden this winter, you might just want to stop by Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant and decorate some gingerbread men.
127-129 Parkway, London , NW1 7PS
Another immersive setting symbolic of the idyllic winter, Jimmy Garcia’s The Lodge is an Alpine experience in its final winter in Clapham. Following last year’s success, The Lodge’s fondue has already secured a cult following.
